How many types of POF shrink films are there?
There are four types of POF shrink films available in the market
POF Shrink Film Regular: This is the standard shrink film commonly used to package products to protect the product surface. The film itself doesn't have particularly notable properties; it's thin, clear, and environmentally friendly. Suitable for general packaging such as cosmetic boxes, food supplement boxes, books, yogurt, sour milk, and so on.
POF Shrink Film Cross-Linked: Next is the POF shrink film that undergoes a cross-linking process, which enhances the film's strength and durability. It doesn't tear easily, retains its shrinking properties, and is still thin and clear. Suitable for products with unique shapes like balls.
POF Shrink Film High Performance: This POF shrink film has a high slip quality suitable for high-speed shrink packing machines.It has strong sealing marks, making it appropriate for semi-finished noodle products.
POF Shrink Film Anti-Fog: Lastly, this POF shrink film is specially formulated to prevent fog or condensation from forming on the product, especially for fresh food items like vegetables, fruits, meats, and frozen ready-to-eat meals.
Application
Food packaging:
Common size recommendations: Thickness of 12-15 microns (0.48-0.6 mil), width of 25-40 cm (10-16 inches), length of 200-500 meters (656-1640 feet).
Use: It is suitable for packing cookies, cakes, chocolates, candies and other foods, which can keep the freshness and moisture-proof performance of foods.
Daily necessities packaging:
Recommended common sizes: Thickness 15-19 microns (0.6-0.76 mil), width 30-50 cm (12-20 inches), length 300-600 m (984-1969ft).
Usage: Suitable for packaging laundry detergent, shampoo, shower gel, hand sanitizer and other daily necessities, which can provide a certain degree of dustproof and protection.
Packaging for electronic products:
Recommended common sizes: Thickness of 19-25 microns (0.76-1 mil), width of 40-80 cm (16-32 inches), length of 500-800 meters (1640-2625 feet).
Use: Suitable for packaging cell phones, tablets, TVs, and other electronic products, it can provide protection against tearing and scratching.
Beverage packaging:
Recommended common sizes: Thickness of 12-15 microns (0.48-0.6 mil), width of 20-30 cm (8-12 inches), length of 200-400 meters (656-1312 feet).
Usage: Suitable for packaging of bottled beverages, canned beverages and other beverages, able to tightly wrap the container to maintain the freshness and appearance of the product.
Packaging & Shipping
- Wrap the film roll with transparent POF film: dust-proof.
- Put paperboard and plastic cover at two edges of the roll: protect the paper core and the edges of POF film.
- Put the roll in good quality carton: protect the POF film.
- Put packed cartons on pallets, and wrap the pallets well by POF film on pallet machines.
- Put pallets in container, use rope and air bag to fix the pallets
